Did you know that today is “Giving Tuesday”? The Tuesday after Cyber Monday has become a time for giving back to charities and local community organizations. This Giving Tuesday, the IRC Parent Council would like you to consider us as your charity of choice!
In addition to funding enhancements to our children’s school experience (i.e. Scientist in the School, arts presentations, athletic equipment, etc.), your donations may help us with some new projects that Parent Council does not have the funds to support today:
- Library upgrade: To build a comprehensive book collection with an equity lens
- Robotics Club: There is interest in starting a small robotics team at IRC
- Arts: We are in need of a new piano or an expensive repair to the one we have
- Special Education classroom equipment
- And much more!
For the first time ever, IRC Parent Council is able to accept online donations and provide donors with tax receipts! These donations are completely anonymous. We will not know who did/did not donate or how much was given by whom.
Donating to IRC Parent Council is very easy! You will be able to pay via credit card (Hello, Rewards Points!) and a charitable tax receipt will be emailed to you directly.
Just follow these easy steps:
- Log onto your TDSB School Cash Online account (the same one currently used for paying for school field trips and extra curricular activities).
- Once logged in, click on the tab that says “Make a Donation”
- Fill in the necessary details and choose the amount you want to donate (minimum $20 to receive a charitable tax receipt)
- Choose from the drop down menu which school you want (Please make sure it says Indian Road Crescent Junior Public School – If is doesn’t, the money will NOT come to IRC Parent Council)
- Once you have filled in the form, complete the transaction and a charitable tax receipt will be emailed to the address you have provided.
Unable to donate today? Don’t worry! You can donate to IRC Parent Council at any time! Helpful reminder: make the donation before December 31, 2018 to get a charitable donation receipt for this income tax year.
