CURRICULUM NIGHT - SEPT 19TH

          Hello, IRC Families!

Curriculum Night at IRC is next Thursday, September 19th, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. 

Starting at 5:30 pm, Family Council will be hosting a bake sale and selling pizza.  This is a great opportunity to grab a bite to eat, learn more about what Family Council does and how you can get involved!

Volunteers Needed!  

Please email Katie Rybnikar at kat.rybnikar@gmail.com if you are able to donate peanut/tree nut free treats OR help us run the bake sale.  

Treat donations can be dropped off at the main office on September 19th.

IRC FUN FAIR - RAIN OR SHINE!

YAHOOOO!  FUN FAIR is this SATURDAY MAY 25 from 11-3!

This is a rain or shine event.  Right now the weather does not look promising so let’s collectively hope for sunshine.  If the rain comes, we will host a slightly-modified-but-still-SUPER-FUN event indoors!

SILENT AUCTION

The Silent Auction IS LIVE!  Go to https://www.32auctions.com/IRC to view the many fantastic items that were donated!  Thank you to everyone who contributed! 

There will be a display of auction items at the Fun Fair. People will be able to bid and pay for items with cash or cheque, as always, if that is preferred.  Otherwise, all sales can be cashless through the auction website.

BAKE SALE

Your home baked or store bought goods are appreciated! A gentle reminder that all goods should be peanut and tree nut free.  Goods may be brought to the gym on the morning of Fun Fair any time after 9:00 am.  If you can bake or donate some treats, please contact Melissa at melissa.denomme@gmail.com

FUNDRAISER: STREET CHALLENGE

The Street Challenge to raise money for the Fun Fair attractions is going strong! This ensures all money raised at Fun Fair can be pure profit for Parent Council initiatives! 

Congrats on the following street efforts:

Indian Road Cres—Raised $600!

Humberside—Raised $200!

Kenneth—Has an event planned in June – email Zaineb for details jzainab@hotmail.com

Jerome- Raised $320!

Streets that raise money (with yard sales, lemonade stands, BBQs etc) can proudly post a sign by a Fun Fair attraction that reads, "This dunk tank/bouncy castle/obstacle course brought to you by the families of ___ street!" or will be recognized in future emails and on the IRC Blog.  If any other streets want to get involved please email Liann at lbobechko@gmail.com.

FUN FAIR - MAY 25TH!!!

FUN FAIR is SATURDAY MAY 25 from 11-3!  ​We still need a TON of help to pull off this massive fundraising event:

Silent Auction.

The Silent Auction will be online this year (with many items exhibited on the 25th in the gym as per usual) at the following Link: https://www.32auctions.com/IRC.  The auction will go live on the 18th of May and all sales will be done through the site - so no cash!  All of the details will be on the site in terms of pick up of items on the 25th.  

Do you have something to donate to the Silent Auction? Gift Cards? Are you a business owner who generously donated in the past and are willing to do so again?  If so, thank you!  Please email Liz Dalgliesh at bangproded@hotmail.com.  Donations (at least the photos and details) must be received no later than May 16th in order to be included in the Silent Auction.   

We Need Volunteers!

We need people to run the various activities at Fun Fair including Ticket Sales, helping with the BBQ, Rides, Games, etc. This event can't happen without you. This is a great opportunity for your older kids who may need Volunteer Hours!  Can you post flyers in the community before the event?  Want to help program the Kindergarten yard activities?  Please email Kaleb directly if you can help with the BBQ atkaleb@fertilitytoronto.ca or email Sarah at riemerse@gmail.com if you can volunteer in any other capacity.

NEW TOY Donation for Fun Fair Prize Table

Do you have unused Christmas stocking, loot bag, arcade or dental office toys that you want to donate?  Maybe some unopened Birthday or holiday gifts your kids didn't bother with or got duplicates of? If you do, please consider donating them to the IRC prize table until May 17, at the office! Thanks to everyone who has already generously donated!

Please don't hate us: For health & safety reasons we will NOT be accepting used stuffed animals this year.   

FINAL Freezie Friday Fundraiser! May 17

From 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm you can purchase a $2 Jumbo Freezie in the schoolyard!  Proceeds will offset Fun Fair costs, such as Fun Fair prizes.  Thank you for your support at the previous two Freezie Fridays!

As always, we thank you for considering our many requests in the name of raising funds for IRC Parent Council.  These dollars go straight to enhancing our children's experience at school.   All of your support, in any form, is greatly appreciated.

Regretfully, the Fundraising Committee has to cancel's tomorrow's Valentine's Day Bake Sale at parent-teacher interviews (Thurs, Feb 14th) due to a lack of volunteers or offers of baked good donations.

Big Bake Sale Thanks!!

Thank you to all the talented bakers who so generously donated to the Fun Fair bake sale! Your goodies were not only delicious but also creative. It was a wildly successful sale and the tables were basically sold out by day's end! We will do our best to return labelled containers to to the correct room if that was included in the labels, but if not and you would still like to retrieve it, please head to the school kitchen where you dropped off your goodies. Thank you, thank you, thank you again! We could not have done it without all your help!

BAKE SALE

Hello bakers! Just a reminder that all nut free baked goods for the Fun Fair should be brought into the school kitchen no later than Friday June 3rd, or passed onto Serena Tso (aka Maddy and Julian Murdoch's mom). 

Packaged nut free treats (ie. gummies, lollipops, chips etc) will also be appreciated if time is limited for baking. Once again, the Fun Fair Committee thanks you in advance for all your help!
