HUMBERSIDE ADVISORY COUNCIL

Humberside Council

Please join us this coming MondayApril 23, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in Humberside's Lismer Auditorium for a free workshop called The New Concussion 101. (RSVP here!)

Head injuries happen. Whether your kids are engaged in sports, just horsing around or have an unlucky encounter with a slippery sidewalk, chances are good they'll hit their heads at some point on your parenting journey. When they do, it can be tough to know whether or not your child has a concussion. And if they do, you may not be clear on the latest concussion protocol.
To sort this out, we'll be joined by Stephanie McFarland, an occupational therapist and concussion expert from the Concussion Centre at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.
While hosted by your parent council, this FREE event is open not just to Humberside C.I. parents, but to others as well. So please spread the word and bring a friend (or several) whose kids are in another school.

The presentation itself gets underway at 7 p.m., but starting at 6:30 we'll have refreshments on offer so we can make it a bit of a social call, too.
You're welcome to just show up, but we encourage you to register on our EventBrite pageto help us know the right numbers for catering. Also, if you register, you'll get a handy reminder email. Because Mondays.

If you do not wish to receive this correspondence, please select "unsubscribe" at the bottom of this email.

Thanks,
Your Humberside School Advisory Council

P.S. There's now a Humberside C.I. Parents Facebook group. Please join!
