IRC MOVIE NIGHT - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

RC Movie Night is this Thursday, October 24th for a suggested $5 admission!  We are showing the Secret Life of Pets 2. Doors open at 6:00 pm and the movie begins at 6:30 pm.  Bring your sleeping bags, blankets, pillows etc. to enjoy this IRC tradition in comfort.  Pizza, popcorn and treats will be sold.  Bring your own reusable cups for water.  VIP seating available for an additional $5 per person; email Katie at kat.rybnikar@gmail.com to reserve your spot.

Volunteers Needed!  Movie Night can't happen without YOUR help and so far we don't have enough volunteers to run this event successfully. YIKES!  We need help setting up, selling concessions, taking admission and help cleaning up afterwards.  If you can assist, please email Katie at kat.rybnikar@gmail.com.

Our first Pizza Day of this school year is Friday, October 25.  We need volunteers to help distribute the pizza.  If you can help, please arrive at school by 11:30 and expect to stay for approximately 45 minutes.

Proceeds from Pizza Day and Movie Night support Family Council initiatives and important enhancements to our children's experiences at school.  Thank you for your support!

FUN FAIR - MAY 25TH!!!

FUN FAIR is SATURDAY MAY 25 from 11-3!  We still need a TON of help to pull off this massive fundraising event:

Silent Auction.

The Silent Auction will be online this year (with many items exhibited on the 25th in the gym as per usual) at the following Link: https://www.32auctions.com/IRC.  The auction will go live on the 18th of May and all sales will be done through the site - so no cash!  All of the details will be on the site in terms of pick up of items on the 25th.

Do you have something to donate to the Silent Auction? Gift Cards? Are you a business owner who generously donated in the past and are willing to do so again?  If so, thank you!  Please email Liz Dalgliesh at bangproded@hotmail.com.  Donations (at least the photos and details) must be received no later than May 16th in order to be included in the Silent Auction.

We Need Volunteers!

We need people to run the various activities at Fun Fair including Ticket Sales, helping with the BBQ, Rides, Games, etc. This event can't happen without you. This is a great opportunity for your older kids who may need Volunteer Hours!  Can you post flyers in the community before the event?  Want to help program the Kindergarten yard activities?  Please email Kaleb directly if you can help with the BBQ atkaleb@fertilitytoronto.ca or email Sarah at riemerse@gmail.com if you can volunteer in any other capacity.

Bake Sale

Speaking of Fun Fair volunteering... how about donating to the Bake Sale?! Your home baked or store bought goods are appreciated! A gentle reminder that all goods should be peanut and tree nut free.  Goods may be brought to the gym on the morning of Fun Fair any time after 9:00 am.  If you can bake or donate some treats, please contact Melissa at melissa.denomme@gmail.com

NEW TOY Donation for Fun Fair Prize Table

Do you have unused Christmas stocking, loot bag, arcade or dental office toys that you want to donate?  Maybe some unopened Birthday or holiday gifts your kids didn't bother with or got duplicates of? If you do, please consider donating them to the IRC prize table until May 17, at the office! Thanks to everyone who has already generously donated!

Please don't hate us: For health & safety reasons we will NOT be accepting used stuffed animals this year.

FINAL Freezie Friday Fundraiser! May 17

From 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm you can purchase a $2 Jumbo Freezie in the schoolyard!  Proceeds will offset Fun Fair costs, such as Fun Fair prizes.  Thank you for your support at the previous two Freezie Fridays!

As always, we thank you for considering our many requests in the name of raising funds for IRC Parent Council.  These dollars go straight to enhancing our children's experience at school.   All of your support, in any form, is greatly appreciated.

Lift Up Your Library Fundraiser!

The Parent Council Equity Committee would like to thank everyone for their support of the Lift Up Your Library fundraiser and the book fair on February 14th. The book fair raised over $1000

The fundraiser continues until March 21st both online (https://anotherstory.ca/?q=h.tviewer&e_def_id=EhuZE8YdnjI) and in person at Another Story Bookshop, located at 315 Roncesvalles Avenue.

You'll get 20% off all purchases made for the library. Another Story has a phenomenal collection of children's, young adult and adult books so if you happen to make some purchases for your home collection, they will convert 20% of those sales into a store credit for the IRC library!

If you'd like to support the IRC library but don't have the time to go through the librarian's wish list, you can also make a donation through the School Cash Online system:

1. From the main page select "Make a Donation"
2. Select Indian Road Crescent Junior Public School from the "Fund Destination" drop down bar.
3. Please mention "Library" in the messages.

We're hoping to raise $5000 for our school library and so far we've raised just over $1500! Let's try to reach that goal by March 21st to expand and update the selection of books available to our kids! If you have any questions please contact Kara Stewart-Agostino at kandragostino@gmail.com.
Thank you,
-IRC Parent Council
